Landscape Laborer
Our Landscape Laborers work to improve the functional or aesthetic value of residential and commercial properties. They create or improve lawns, gardens, decks, patios and other landscape features. Landscape laborers are the foundation of Down To Earth Landscaping’s success and growth.
Job Responsibilities
Mow grass and prune trees and shrubs.
Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
Mulches, weeds, removes thatch, aerates, trims and edges around flower beds, and sidewalks.
Treat lawns and landscaping with pesticides to remove harmful insects.
Maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival.
Plant new flowers, bushes, plants, and decorative shrubs.
Rake fallen leaves and remove debris.
Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas.
Landscape and maintain various properties using tools or equipment. Tasks may also include sod laying, watering, digging, and hardscaping.
Job Requirements
Landscaping knowledge preferred
Time management skills with an ability to prioritize and multi task
Valid driver’s license preferred
Punctual and dependable
Available Monday -Friday (Possible Saturday)
Able to work 7:00am – 4:00pm (Hours may fluctuate due to weather)
Physical Requirements
Lifting, bending, squatting required
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
